About the Idaho Falls Arts Council

Since its founding in 1990, the Idaho Falls Arts Council has committed to hosting an array of events, arts, performances, and venues to feature local and international talent within Idaho Falls and its surrounding areas. Now consisting of the Willard Arts Center, the historic Colonial Theater, the ARTitorium, and the Civic Center, these settings provide the means to have an annual impact of $2.7 million on the local community in the form of art galleries, 10 - 16 mainstage shows, 8 visual arts exhibitions, and community events all year long. The continued support of its staff members and volunteers accommodate the thousands of individuals who partake in the local arts community.

The Forgotten Carols Musical features breathtaking performances of heartwarming melodies and laugh-out-loud entertainment within a timeless Christmas story. Hear your favorite songs, like “Homeless,” from Michael McLean’s original hit album, sung by incredible musical theater performers. Immerse yourself in the magic of the holiday season as you witness the story of the Forgotten Carols coming to life on stage. Don't miss out on this incredible in-person event that will leave you feeling uplifted and filled with joy. Join us!

The Forgotten Carols musical theater stage performance tells the story of Connie Lou, a nurse whose empty life is changed when Uncle John, a new patient she is attending, recounts the story of Christ’s birth as told by little known characters in the nativity story. The accounts from the Innkeeper, the Shepherd and others help the nurse discover what the world has forgotten about Christmas, ultimately encouraging her to open her heart to the joy of this special season.
